A Timeless Natural Oasis in the Midst of the City

Brought to life in Zeytinburnu in 2008, Sur Restaurant stands as a pioneering example of creating a nature-integrated sanctuary amidst dense urban fabric. Designed with a vision far ahead of its time, this project treats architecture and landscape as an inseparable whole, aiming to offer guests a peaceful ‘getaway’ feeling right in the heart of the metropolis.

The architectural identity of the project is built upon the timeless warmth of wood and the solidity of natural stone. Expansive glass facades flood the high-ceilinged interior with daylight while erasing the boundary between indoors and outdoors. The serenity of the exterior pond, the private wooden gazebos suspended over the water, and the meticulously curated flora transform the space from a conventional restaurant into a tranquil family ecosystem.

Elegant woodwork within the interior, comfortable seating arrangements, and natural details like the centrally positioned olive tree support the philosophy of being ‘in the city, yet away from the city.’ Sur Restaurant remains one of the most enduring and visionary proofs of how our studio can refine and elite-ly integrate nature into urban living.
